It’s quite ironic isn’t it. I once loaded my bikes onto a ‘tinny’ to cross a flooded river to go racing in Australia, now it seems my only option to get back home to the land down under is to set sail across the seven seas in a row boat.
It’s not an uncommon thing for a KELEHER though. Some 110 years ago my great grandfather traveled from Ireland to London and boarded an old ‘cattle ship’ in search of new opportunities in the Southern Hemisphere.
Now in 2020 with a global pandemic in full swing and major disruptions to international travel, with border restrictions and arrival limits in Australia, many flights have been cancelled and 30,000 Australians have been left stranded overseas!
I’ve found a vessel, now I just need a set of ores! When there’s a will, there’s a way.
